Three OGWs of LeT arrested in Hajin: Police | KNO

Bandipora, Apr 29 (KNO): Three Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were arrested on Tuesday in Hajina area, police said. Bandipora police had received a specific information regarding movement of some OGWs of terrorist outfit LeT in Hajin area, a police spokesman said in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). Acting on this information a joint Naka was established at Shahgund Nursery, by Bandipora police along with CRPF 45 Bn and 13 RR Army. During Naka Checking three suspected persons who were coming from Khusarpora towards Shahgund, while seeing police party they tried to flee from the spot, but were nabbed tactfully.Upon questioning the said persons disclosed their identities as Shahzad Ahmad S/o Mohammad Khalil, Danish Ahmad Parray S/o Gh Mohammad Parray and Ather Iqbal S/o Gh Mohammad Rafiqee all residents of Hajin and further confessed that they were working as OGW's of terrorist outfit LeT. Upon their personal search, incriminating material(illegal arms and ammunition) including Chinese Hand Grenade (02 No.'s), 7.62 MM Magazine, (01 No.), 7.62 MM, live rounds (17 No's) were recovered from their possession, police said. In this regard, police said that a case under FIR number 33/2025 under sections 18,23,39 UAP act and 7/25 I.A act stands registered at Police Station Hajin, and further investigation has been taken up—(KNO)
